A Heartfelt Update and Exciting News from Scrapilde

Dear readers,

It’s been a while since we last connected, and I wanted to take a moment to share an update with you about my personal journey that has kept me away for some time.

In the past months, I’ve been absent due to personal circumstances that required my full attention. Unfortunately, my mother’s health took a turn and she became the focal point of my world. In a decision filled with love and compassion, I chose to have her spend her final moments with me. These days were dedicated to her care, and during this period, my focus shifted entirely to providing the best care possible for her, putting everything else on hold. The goodbye was in a way beautiful but also incredibly difficult.

Following her passing, a new chapter unfolded, bringing the formidable task of sorting through a lifetime of memories and possessions. It was a labor of love, albeit an emotionally taxing one.

Now, several months later, wounds have not healed complete but I’m gradually finding my way back and ready to reconnect with you again.

Behind the scenes, the last weeks I’ve been hard at work to catch up and to bring you something special and enhance your experience with my creations.

I want to be transparent about the challenges ahead and my capabilities.
While I’m considering the possibility of introducing new templates for sale periodically, it’s a labor-intensive process: Creating, providing my small designteam my templates, making also examples myself, uploading to the store and maintaining a website —all falls on my shoulders. It’s a laborious a demanding task for a solo artist even though it’s a little one-person business.

I am working on a solutions to automate and simplify certain things a bit at the back-end of my store and website, but I do not want to compromise on quality and uniqueness, so the creation of the templates will remains entirely my own manual work.

So to maintain this authenticity and quality, I’ve decided not to commit to a fixed schedule for releasing new templates. This decision is essential to avoid unnecessary pressure on me when life gets in the way and ensure that I can keep the joy in creating and sharing my scrapbooking style with you. I know this decision has an impact on the revenue of my store, but profit is was never my primary goal; instead, it’s about sharing the joy of scrapbooking in a unique, whimsical style. So from time to time, new templates will be added, and when it comes to the Lea France templates, they may not always be part of the examples show on the cover of the physical stencils, but rather individual standalone templates from various stencils.

Beside that, I’m excited to announce that, moving forward, I will be regularly offering freebies through my newsletter—a token of appreciation for the ongoing support my subscribers gave me.

For now I have 2 types in mind: Quick Pages and Templates.
The Quick Pages will be in transparent PNG format.
The Templates will be in PSD format and Scalb (For StudioScrap, less know, but that is my go to scrapbooking software).
I will not include PNG, PAGE or TIFF formats.: creating these formats take a significant extra amount of effort and time before I can upload them, and I’m unsure if the cost-benefit ratio is favorable.

Some of the freebie offers will remain exclusive to my subscribers or through my profile on www.digitalscrapbook.com, making them truly special.
Fewer will be posted directly on the blog of this website and these links will only be available temporarily (while the other links will remain active) These freebies may find their way to the store over time (including also the PNG, PAGE and TIFF formats), some freebies will never be available for purchase in the store
Nothing is set in stone, and time will tell which ones and when.

Your understanding and support mean the world to me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share my passion with you, so let us continue this creative journey together.

Wishing you joy, creativity, and beautiful memories,

Hilde from Scrapilde

ps I love the interaction with fellow scrapbookers, so leaving a comment is kindly appreciated 😉

Happy scrappy greetings
